The sort of filler Da Zhu Zai has been completed. Is this the Donghua which follow the Manhua or at least close to it?

It's been picked up by Magic Motion, same studio that does Doupo Cangqiong, so I would assume it will follow the novel, I dont read the manhua, so I cant really say.
You know how I feel about manhuas lol, in general they are not targeted at mature readers, so they are watered down from the novel, content removed, aimed at younger readers, by that I dont mean early 20s, I mean below 15 year olds lol. Nothing wrong with reading them but it is just most manhua are adaptions of the novels, so there isnt any need for me to read them

I believe someone mentioned that the donghua will a total reboot, so it will have nothing to do with the 2d adaptation that was released a few years back.

Even though Da Zhu Zai is a sequel to both series, it is a separate series, with its own main character, Xiao Yan and Lin Dong are very minor characters, so watching it wont really affect Doupo Cangqiong or Wudong Qiankun, if anything it will make people curious about them if they havent watched them before Xiao Yan and Lin Dong are both very very powerful men in that world It is more like The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, where watching Lord of the Rings wont affect your viewing of the Hobbit very much. Then again I dont mind spoilers so it doesnt affect me lol
Also when you consider how long it will take for Doupo Cangqiong and Wudong Qiankun to end, it will take a long time probably another 3 to 5 years,. If you compare Soul Land which came out in 2018, that is 4 years already, it should finish within the year, so no doubt either the author or the Tencent wants to have his works published as soon as possible otherwise it might not be able to catch up with the number of new novels he is writing

WDQK progress is 289/1309 and you have to consider they skipped 60-80 chapters in season 1 and 2.

BTTH progress is 370/1648, progress is so slow because they keep inventing pointless things which are not in the story. Like dedicating 4 whole episodes to past of Nalan Yanran even though bitch only shows up in maybe 10 chapters as punching bag for everyone later. So far they wasted 20-30 episodes like this

But as far as spoilers go, it is exactly as you said. Nothing is spoiled. If anything levels between worlds make sense.

lol Yes I am optimistic but realistically. some months back I did a rough calculation, while it isnt accurate since studios might add or remove content and just replace it with a quick narration or add some filler, at the risk of annoying people who read it before - there are 1644 chapters, and The Three Year Agreement ended around chapter 375, 4 years since the start of season one it works out to be 17.5 years for the series to end, so 17.5 - 4 = 13.5 years left lol, I dont want to wait for that long

And if we use the novel's volumes to calculate. 17 volumes plus one epilogue, it works out that the studio is going at a rate of one season + side stories + specials per volume, so in other words it will still take about 17 years for the entire series from start to finish. 13 years... 13 years lol Again it isnt an exact or accurate calculation method, but it gives a good indication. It worked for Soul Land, up to the last arc lol where they doubled the chapters per episode, I guess they are pushing for it to end within a years time, possibly around 5-6 months time, so they can release Soul Land 2 in the new year, but that is a guess.

I prefer 3-5 years, but that might mean a cut in content. Yeah the studio fluffed it, also that episode where he goes shopping with Medusa, what a filler, but I guess they are laying the groundwork for you know what, that happens when he gets the Fallen Heart Flame and have non consensual intimacy with her that leads to her pregnancy which changes her feelings towards Xiao Yan after finding out she is pregnant

It can't be 26 episodes. Monument arc has around 4 episodes left of content and then puppet sect war around 12. This is followed by short Lin competition 3-4 episodes and then it is around 10 of preparation and buildup for hundred year war

No matter if it is 12 or 26 it will be badly cut or it will end similarly shitty

Continuous is much simpler with 3d animation than anime. Once they get through initial hurdle it is just a matter of breaks in order to supply assets. While characters itself are done in Fuse, Poser... the problematic is making their respectable gear and shaders/animations of their attacks, so if animation changes bad guys constantly like WDQK it is harder to make continuous. They need some breaks to supply additional assets, but that is far lesser problem than starting from scratch. Best thing for WDQK would probably be to adopt arc seasons. Like, next season covering the puppet sect war and lin competition ending at point where there talk about the hundred year war. Then next one covering the preparation and 5 seeds ending with travel to battlefield. And so on, not only would seasons have better than satisfactory endings, there would be no need to cut content or having prolonged seasons.

SL has it really easy here. Bad guys are the same through whole time. And events are occuring in the same 5 locations. For example, forest is the same forest that has been reused from initial soul hunting till now. In terms of quality, you could say SL is a low grade animation at best. Although graphics are good, paying attention to details is at best mediocre. Exaggerated long stays at the same spot are no different than making it faster and have arc breaks (sigh, you only need to remember how long they climbed stairs...'-.- , or arena fights, or...). In short, SL has breaks as well except they do it with reusing same content over and over until next one is ready

Problem with this ending is that this was neither cliffhanger, nor open threads because it ended in random spot during the novel arc. Each arc in WDQK pretty much ends with open threads and cliffhanger for the next event

Due to how animations are made, years is exaggerated. Animation is made in game studios like Unreal engine the same way that games are made. But, they cut 9/10 costs since there is no game logic behind it.

Hardest thing is making initial assets, most of the rest is just milking the cow. It would be hard financial mistake if they went through initial mud and then stop. Anyone careful enough can see same animations played
